Sanders Campaign Takes to the Air
Television, radio ads highlight job creation experience, local supporters
MIDDLETON – The campaign of Henry Sanders for Lieutenant Governor today launched its first round of television and radio advertisements, touting the Democratic candidate’s real-world job creation and economic development experience.
The first television and radio ad series features some of the hundreds of Democratic elected officials and community leaders across the state supporting Sanders. The “Trusted Leaders” ads running in the Madison media market feature Congresswoman Tammy Baldwin, Mayor Dave Cieslewicz, County Executive Kathleen Falk, and Sheriff Dave Mahoney. A second television ad, “Back to Work”, includes excerpts from Sanders’ speech before the Democratic Party of Wisconsin Convention, where grassroots activists and party leaders supported him be an overwhelming 2-to-1 margin in the annual convention poll. [View the television ad here.]
The radio and television advertisements augment a robust get-out-the-vote effort led by nine regional field organizers around the state.
Nonprofit executive, community activist, and small business owner Henry Sanders, Jr. lives with his wife and daughter in Waunakee, WI. Sanders is the founder of Madison Area Growth Network and Propel Wisconsin Innovation – nonprofit organizations dedicated to job growth – and Capacity-360, a small business that connects other small to mid-sized businesses with capital and other resources. Democratic Party leaders and grassroots activists favored Sanders by a 2-to-1 margin in the Democratic Convention poll.
