Sanders Announces Statewide College Tour
Dem candidate for Lt Governor will visit campuses across Wisconsin in run-up to primary
MIDDLETON—Henry Sanders, Democratic candidate for Wisconsin Lieutenant Governor, today announced plans to visit six University of Wisconsin System campuses next week as part of his statewide college tour.
“Students and young voters were key to electing President Obama in 2008, and they’ll be key this year as well,” said Sanders. “I truly believe that the ticket that engages these young voters will have a leg up in November. There are Students for Sanders chapters on ten campuses, and I plan on bringing their energy and passion to the Barrett-Sanders ticket this fall.”
“These students are concerned about their futures, about being able to find jobs after they graduate. And they know politics as usual isn’t any good for them. They know I’m the only candidate with real-world job creation experience and the only candidate with a real and detailed plan to get Wisconsin back to work.”
